As Halloween gets closer I continue to check off my bucket list of October things to do. Today I made caramel apples. For years I have attempted to make caramel apples with homemade caramel and it has never worked. Mostly it has turned into a huge, gloppy, caramelly mess. One of my favorite friends offered to teach me how to do it properly today and guess what...it worked!!
Look at those lovely apples, and they tasted pretty awesome too. My boys were pretty excited to come home to this after school snack.
Tonight I have been reading all of the news of Hurricane Sandy back east. It is so surreal to see the same places I visited weeks ago eerily empty. My heart and prayers go out to everyone who has been affected!
