Lime and Sunflowers

Welcome to yet another post about one of my favorite skirts.  It is years and years old, but I LOVE it and the print.  At the time it was a Jcrew original print...I think it was later sold to Target as it started popping up all over the place, which was sad to me as it was so unique.  It is still my favorite though.
One of the reasons I love it is that is reminds me of late summer.  Surprisingly, I am loving this time of year.  The days are a bit cooler (we actually had a freak cold front over the weekend), sunsets seem more brilliant and every hint of crispness in the air makes me giddy.
Today was our first day of school.  It was just about everything that I hoped.  I made a special breakfast and took all sorts of lovely pictures and then got them to school early enough to take more in the class rooms.
I got one picture in front of the school and then I was promptly DITCHED!! My oldest two found friends and ran away and luckily my 1st grader took pity on me and let me get a few. I am already the lame mom...never thought the day would come.
It is now just this cute boy and me home during the day.  It feels pretty crazy, and kind of awesome (don't tell the boys I said that).

  2. Oh my goodness, what is cuter than little kids and chalk? :) Hmmm, maybe it's little boys in matching shoes. ^_^ (That's pretty cute, did they all pick those out together? My brothers use to do that when they would get new shoes, they all had to get the same shoes.)

This skirt has a really great flip at the bottom, it gives it great movement. And I just noticed that you sized your header down, thank you for that, your blog loads super fast in my browser now! (Blah, I have slow internet. :P )

  19. You are such a chic mama, I love it.
Also, I completely empathize with your frustration when it comes to cheaper brands mimicking a design or pattern that's unique. Especially when YOU paid the higher price!

    Nonetheless, you look stunning!
