Guest Post-Motherhood Career Fashion

Hello from NY everyone!  Today I am excited to introduce you to Maria from Motherhood Career Fashion.  I have loved her blog for a while now.  She has amazing taste and I always love the stories that she shares about her boys (we are both members of the sisterhood of mothers of boys).  I know you will love her style!
A big hello to all Creamy fans out there. I'm BB from Motherhood Career Fashion. It is always such a privilege to have a say on someone else's blog that I virtually jumped at the chance to write this guest post when I received Emily's lovely email. So I just wanted to start off by thanking Emily for this opportunity. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Today, I wanted to talk about the power of a good Spring/Summer dress. Seriously, don't ever underestimate the versatility of the right dress. Your favourite Spring/Summer dress can pretty much be worn all through Autumn and Winter too if you choose what else goes with it carefully. One of my favourite dresses these days is the old Missoni for Target zig zag dress.

I like to team it with my favourite Zac Posen for Target Australia blazer and a pair of patent pumps for the perfect work outfit during the week.

Tony Bianco shoes, Missoni for Target dress, Zac Posen for Target Australia blazer, Amrita Singh necklace, Hermes bracelets, CC Skye bracelet, YSL ring, Seiko watch

And on the weekend, I end up with a pair of boots and the good old hooded leather jacket for a more casual look.

Chloe boots, Missoni for Target dress, Mike & Chris jacket, Amrita Singh necklace, Hermes bracelets, CC Skye bracelet, YSL ring, Seiko watch

I find these outfits perfect for those first Autumn months, when the day starts of cold in the morning and then becomes relatively warm as it progresses. These days are pretty much the same as those first Spring days too, which is what we're experiencing here in Sydney, Australia at the moment. And just to proove that you can indeed have a summer dress as part of a Winter outfit. Take this other dress as an example:

Several weeks ago, during a very cold winter day it got teamed up with a pair of 200 denier opaque stockings, a long sleeve wool top and a well cut black blazer for another work appropriate outfit... well, for my workplace anyway.

Burberry shoes, Wicked stockings, Glassons merino wool top layered under, Romwe dress, Forever New belt, Zac Posen for Target Australia blazer, Amrita Singh necklace, YSL ring, Seiko Watch

Anyway, Creamy readers, thank you for putting up with my mindless wardrobe related shenanigans. Take care everyone and keep smiling.
