Love this outfit. I think Maxi dresses are great because they're comfy yet stylish... they work day to night... perfect! As for the Naturopathica eye serum, i can't say enough about it. I still put it on in the mirror and watch in amazement. I typically have the worst bags under my eyes... mommy of twins here! lol Oh and i'm having a giveaway too.. for keratin blowout extender if you're interesed! xoxo

ReplyDeleteCarolyn http://sillyhappysweet.blogspot.com
Thanks Carolyn. I have heard of Magnolia Bakery, but never Peanut Butter & Co. Definitely want to check it out!
DeleteLove those stripes!
ReplyDeleteLove this! Wearing maxis as skirts is a great way to remix them. I went to New York once and was definitely glad I stolled 5th Avenue for shopping and visited Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty. My mom and I also ate at an amazing microbrewery called The Heartland Brewery (http://www.heartlandbrewery.com), it's a must!
ReplyDeleteStephanie
Thanks Stephanie!! I am planning on 5th avenue and Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty but hadn't heard of the brewery. Sounds amazing, thanks for the tip!
Deletenice look;)
ReplyDeleteLooking lovely as usual! I am sorry that I am no help today. I have never been to NY, but please take notes and pass them onto me BECAUSE I WILL get there one day!!! :)

DeleteOh wow, I love, love, love this maxi skirt! It has the perfect amount of drape to it and the fact that it has a striped pattern makes it even cuter! And I really like the bright necklace, it just lights up your face. :)
ReplyDeletehow exciting! my husband and i lived in the UWS for a bit and i still claim it to be my home. there are SO many things you can do in the city. but first let's talk about places to eat, shall we? {i will give you a whole bunch of variety.}
ReplyDeleteprosperity dumpling {chinese}- $
woorijip {korean}- $
empanada mama {latin american}-$
taim falafel {middle eastern}- $
otafuku {japanese}- $
SHAKE SHACK {fastfood}- $
ippudo {japanese}-- $$
the meatball shop {italian}--$$
lombardi's {italian}--$$
la esquina corner deli {mexican}-- $$
balthazar {french}-- $$$
ok, i could go on and on. but i will stop here... my husbad and i go back to the city once a year to eat around. we love the food there that much!
as far as attraction goes, i recommend getting something like the new york pass. {if you you want to do few touristy stuff.}
http://www.newyorkpass.com/
and if you do get the pass, put met, moma, water taxi, statue of liberty, top of the rock, empire state building, central park bicycle rides, and the 911 tribute center.
and lastly... my ultimate secret, tj maxx on columbus. the store there carries runway items for cheap, cheap price!
they have prada, gucci, dolce, celine... a lot of great brand names! if you do go i hope you find something great!
and if you have any questions, feel free to email me. sashaiteno at gmail dot com
have a great day!
Thank you SO MUCH for all of this info! I am so excited to try out some of these restaurants and the rest of the suggestions were so helpful (so excited about the TJ Maxx!!) Thank you again!
DeleteWay to rock the snake print pants! I totally need to get on that trend...
