Green and Black

   Today I saw a couple of blogs that talked about the transition that is beginning to happen on the shelves of shops everywhere to autumn clothes.  To be honest I just felt sick about it!!  I love fall fashion, but I am not ready to give summer up.  We still need to build a lemonade stand, make homemade ice cream and we haven't even done a museum yet!  There is much to do, we'd better get going because every day we are closer to the end...

 You may have noticed my recent love to head scarves.  I really have been loving them lately.  Summer hair is so much harder for me as well.  There are only so many ways I can pull it up and a scarf adds some fun interest. 

 Tonight we had our family night and rode our bikes over to a local shaved ice place for a treat (can I just say shaved ice with ice cream in the bottom and some sweet and condensed milk concoction poured over the top heaven).  Josh always goes first and I am at the back as we ride (it is quite the parade) and I was just thinking how much our kids like to hang out with us, and how I am guessing that will only last a few more years.  It made me sort of sad and happy about where we are in life all rolled into one.  I definitely don't think I'll know what to do with my life when I have time to do all I want to and a quiet house.  I need to remember that when the boys are laughing uncontrollably at the dinner table (which happened tonight) or they want me to play checkers with them (happened last week).  As much as this life of mine is far from glamorous I sure love it and wouldn't have it any other way.  Thanks for indulging my rant.  Deep thoughts going on tonight :)
